In 1999, English Heritage funded the controversial excavation of a Bronze Age timber monument – ‘Seahenge’ – at Holme-next-the-Sea on the Norfolk coast. Once the dust had settled and the archaeologists had concluded their analysis, Charlie Watson, East Publishing’s editorial director, researched and wrote Seahenge: an Archaeological Conundrum, a book that explores both the archaeological issues and the debate over the rights and wrongs of the excavation.
